Remote Deposit Capture (RDC): Free Policy Tuesday
This week’s free banking policy is a Remote Deposit Capture Policy. This institution requires an ongoing risk assessment of its Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) vendor as system configurations, threats and vendors may change. The Information Security Officer is required to perform an assessment annually. The Information Security Officer is required to manage all corrective action and perform this assessment if a new vendor is selected. (This is a working document and such risk ratings contained in this document are examples, please re-assess them according to your environment and control measures.)
Every Tuesday, Continuity Engine releases a free banking policy for use by community banks and credit unions across America. These policies are made available through Creative Commons licensing so that banks and credit unions may freely remix and reuse the content to suit their individual financial institution’s needs. When we release a new policy, the previous week’s policy is archived on Control where it is always available for free to community members. In case you were wondering, membership in our community is always free for credit union folks and community bankers.
Please remember that this policy is only available for free on our website through October 20, 2009. If you are looking for a particular policy that you would like us to feature on a future Free Policy Tuesday, please let us know in the comments!

I am looking for a free Remote Deposit Policy and came across your website. Is the policy still available?
Sure Kevin! It’s available, as well as all of our other previously featured policies, to all members of Control. Membership is free and sign up is fast and easy.
If you click on the link in the post for the policy, you’ll see the page listing all of our featured policies. There’s a link on that page to register for Control. Once you are registered and logged in, you can feel free to download any of the policies. Enjoy!
