Cantor Colburn/CCAT Innovation Pipeline Awards

CTC Company to Watch
NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 9, 2009
– Continuity Engine, the creator of an on-demand platform that automates the regulatory compliance process for community banks and credit unions, has been selected by the Connecticut Technology Council as a 2009 Company to Watch in recognition of its flagship product, Control.  The Connecticut Technology Council, the state’s industry association for the technology sector, annually recognizes companies with sales under $5 million, an innovative product or service and a business model that demonstrates potential for future success.

“Having founded a security company that served thousands of banks and credit unions, I recognized the barriers that they face when trying to manage the rising cost of compliance,” Andy Greenawalt, founder and CEO of Continuity Engine explained.  “We have created Control as an innovative solution to those problems. We are very excited about our selection by the Connecticut Technology Council as a Company to Watch and the support that it gives to our efforts of introducing a new approach to compliance technology for the industry.”

Control is a Web-based, SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that lets users simplify the work of compliance by turning it into a series of simple steps, automating those steps and delivering all of the reporting to satisfy oversight needs.  The steps are bundled in to ActionPacks, compliance plans that provide policies, tasks and assignments, so that all of the annual oversight, periodic reviews and routine operational tasks get to the right people at the right time.

As a Company to Watch Continuity Engine is a finalist for eight Innovation Pipeline Award categories, including the most promising new technology product or service and the most promising software product of the year.  The winners will be announced at an awards program on Sept. 17.
