Continuity Engine Acquires Continuity Integrators for Collaboration Leadership and SaaS Veteran.
Continuity Engine, a new company that simplifies regulatory compliance for banks and credit unions, announced the acquisition of Continuity Integrators, a pioneer in the use of collaboration and social networking for business continuity.
Monroe, CT September 23, 2008 – Continuity Integrators provides thought leadership on revolutionizing continuity and compliance challenges through the use of social networking and collaboration. Continuity Integrators built collaboration platforms leveraging RSS, discussion forums, shared document repositories and tagging to bring full web 2.0 collaboration to the problems that are too often siloed within organizations.
“The key to this acquisition is Dan Adams,” said Mr. Greenawalt. “Dan’s vision of using social networking as an engine for transformation within organizations is groundbreaking. He has the intellectual discipline as an industrial engineer with the experience as a SaaS veteran. As the Founder of Perimeter eSecurity, I learned how to build a great team through acquisitions. Dan has an amazing background, but also possesses the entrepreneurial spirit that’s behind every blue ocean endeavor.”
Prior to founding Continuity Integrators, Dan Adams was the product lead for Verizon Business’ Business Resilience group and held senior management roles at SaaS pioneer Curaspan and Healtheon. He started his career consulting with KPMG. Dan holds degrees from Cornell and the University of Chicago.
“After many years of working with countless organizations, it is clear that communication is the missing link in building a resilient enterprise,” said Mr. Adams. “My vision of collaboration tools and that of Andy and the team at Continuity Engine were a perfect fit. It’s very exciting when you have an opportunity to have 2+2=43. The keys to success are in scaling a SaaS infrastructure, building a compelling product suite and taking advantage of the unique crossroads we find ourselves at. It is really exciting to be part of what’s shaping up to be a dream team.”
