Continuity Engine Receives Innovation Award from the Connecticut Technology Council
Compliance solutions provider wins Cantor Colburn/CCAT Innovation Pipeline award

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Sept. 22, 2009 – Continuity Engine, the creator of an on-demand platform that automates the regulatory compliance process for community banks and credit unions, recently received the Most Significant Early Stage Capital Investment award from the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) during its third annual Innovation Pipeline awards ceremony. The CTC, the state’s industry association for the technology sector, annually recognizes companies with an innovative product or service and a business model that demonstrates potential for future success. This year, the association recognized Continuity Engine’s flagship product, Control, among a field of 119 promising companies.
“The Connecticut Technology Council recognizes the significance of new technology and its ability to transform a company or industry,” Andy Greenawalt, founder and CEO of Continuity Engine explained. “We are extremely honored to first be named a Company to Watch, and now a winner of the Most Significant Early Stage Capital Investment award. This is welcomed support of our efforts to recognize regulatory compliance barriers that all community financial institutions face and transform the process with Control.”
Control is a Web-based, SaaS (Software as a Service) platform that lets users simplify the work of compliance by turning it into a series of simple steps, automating those steps and delivering all of the reporting to satisfy oversight needs. The steps are bundled in to ActionPacks, compliance plans that provide policies, tasks and assignments, so that all of the annual oversight, periodic reviews and routine operational tasks get to the right people at the right time.
Continuity Engine was honored during an awards program on Sept. 17. The program was the culmination of the Cantor Colburn/CCAT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Summit. Over 350 entrepreneurs, investors and service providers were in attendance.
