Forum Systems Selects Continuity Control’s Alliance Program

Control App Alliance unites SOA and Web services security
pioneer with innovative compliance provider

NEW HAVEN, Conn., June 29, 2010 – Continuity Control™, creator of an on-demand platform designed to improve and simplify the regulatory compliance process for community banks and credit unions throughout the United States, announced that Forum Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crosscheck Networks, Inc., recently joined the Control App Alliance partnership program. The collaboration will enable Forum Systems to leverage its expertise in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Web service security and work with Continuity to provide compliance applications (Apps).

“The continued expansion of the Control App Alliance through the addition of industry leading providers like Forum Systems, strengthens Control’s comprehensive solution that simplifies the compliance process like never before and addresses a broad range of concerns for community banks and credit unions,” Andy Greenawalt, CEO of Continuity Control, said.  “Control re-factors compliance management by making it easy to get, easy to use and easy to report on compliance for regulatory examination. Simple ToDos within Control facilitate everything, getting the right work to the right people at the right time.”

Continuity Control’s innovative approach addresses the overall burden and issue of increasing government oversight, as well as the amount of work, resources and costs associated with banking compliance. The company refers to these aggregated costs as the Compliance Tax™.
Forum Systems’ Sentry XML Gateway offers the industry’s most comprehensive protection against XML and SOAP-based vulnerabilities. Leveraging Forum Sentry’s best-practice policy framework, Control, a Web-based, SaaS (Software as a Service) platform, now houses a pre-packaged App of rules and policies that can be customized.

Community-based financial institutions that download Control’s XML Gateway Security App have access to Forum Systems’ prepackaged set of rules and policies, which guides them via a best-practices approach in deploying secure SOA- and XML-based services. Now, Control’s new App simplifies the work of compliance for banks and credit unions by breaking it down into a set of steps, automating those steps and delivering reporting to satisfy oversight requirements.

“Continuity Control has a unique, compelling value proposition,” Mamoon Yunus, CEO of Crosscheck Networks, explained. “Through our collaborative partnership, customers can more efficiently and effectively secure their SOA- and XML-based services, and establish a solid foundation for their compliance initiatives.”

Pete Halenar, SVP of alliances and business development at Continuity Control, said, “Financial institutions increasingly transmit and receive data in XML. Through the use of the Apps offered by Continuity and Forum Systems, customers can easily identify credit, transaction and other risks. Control manages the assessment legwork so that you can simply review, adjust and get back to work.”
